Hi everyone....I am looking for some input on something....DS has had tantrums the last couple of days about seemingly minor things, but fixates on them so much he had an uncontrollable fit. IS this something that could be ADHD related? How do I help him self-calm in this type of situation? TIA!

My ADHD son does that; I think learning behavioral changes is the answer -

What time of day? Part of meds wearing off? Did you just change dosages? That's when we tend to get the "What the heck???" type tantrums. (as opposed to ones that a kid has had all along)

We talk about it *afterwards*. Specifically about things like, how would you calm yourself down next time? What can we say to you that WILL help? What he's suggested--letting him go to his room & read; taking deep breaths; yoga (well, the basic meditation pose, that is).

hi - you need to say how old he is - there are some very normal behaviors that have nothing to do w/ADHD

For me - ADHD/ADD ran on my dh's family - dh
