Hi

There are So many things that can mistakenly be diangosed as ADHD, and once they are corrected symptoms can disappear. I have heard of vision problems Mimcing ADHD, especially in kids with Irlin Syndrome, or eye muscle issues.

Good luck, and I hope he finds help.

A child may HAVE ADHD, but it is not what they ARE. Never tell a child they ARE ADHD.

My 21yr old son has doule vision exsaberated(sp) by ADHD meds - 3 differents Neuro's said STOP MEDS and after 8 months now going to another Specialist at UCLA - we can't fix it yet - He's had 3 different MRI's, ultrasounds - I can't begin to tell you - and if I knew that this was going to happen I would have never put him on meds - and on the other hand if he wasn't on meds I don't know how i could have survived. By the way meds were stopped after first doc

His eye is drooping - this is a very rare side effect of ADHD meds - I'm hoping that if we can fix his eye - he wants to just go back to Strattera but not mixed with any stim.

I don't need to read any articles - I'm going thru it and learning

My 10 year old also has severe ADHD, and I later found out that he has vision problems with his eyes not focusing together, and one eye going out to the corner when he needs to read.
