My DD(14) has been taking Vyvanse for about a year now with no big problems. I think it makes her a little irritable sometimes, but not too bad. She isn't as hungry during the day, but she makes up for it at night. It has really helped her. She was on Daytrana but it made her VERY irritable. We are pleased, but we might try her on Intuniv when it comes out this fall since it is not a stimulant.

Good luck!

My son started on Vyvanse about 3 1/2 weeks ago. He is also on 30 mg. So far, so good. He gained 2 pounds in the past three weeks (he only gained one pound last YEAR!) It seems like the med wears off much more gradually so it is a lot easier for him in the evening. The only issue that he has had is a headache (annoying more than painful) that comes and goes. We are pretty pleased so far - will continue to watch and see how he does. I just love hearing, "Mom, I'm STARVING!". :)

Thanks everyone for the input. This was just new to us and I had not really heard about it.
