Impulse is our worse. Joiner has done so many impulsive things it's unreal. So many fights with other children. He held his friend under water until I jumped in to get him loose, he has taken a knife to my almost new couch & ruined it. Broke many, many things including mangeling my glasses. It's amazing we all are still alive.

Is your child on medication? Mine is on Concerta, and although it does help with organization and attention, it does nothing for his impulsitivity.

Yes he does. He takes Adderall XR for his ADHD.

For us, the Concerta stopped the impulsive behavior - it has been amazing.

Thats great that the Concerta is working well for you. My son was on 18 mg. and he did so much better at school, but by the time he got home from school, it seemed it had worn off, so the dr. upped the dose to 36mg. It seems my son has been sick ever since. Stuffyness, fever, headache, stomach ache. I think I should talk to the dr. about putting him back to 18 mg (because he also hardly eats now too)
