4 Fookin' Crowns!!!!! WTF?????

Ended up under for almost 4 hours poor wee mite! And they added two extra crowns and two other small fillings. The child is a mouthfull of metal (although I fought everyone, inc dh about white fillings v's metal....I won;)) Cian does have stainless steel crowns as the porcelain ones cost a kidney on the black market, so I guess he'll be binging through security anytime we fly, lol. Well when I was a baby I used to bing as my nappy pins would set the bingers off, hee....just keepin' it in the family so to speak. The child is starving and is on his third bowl of cheerios and a banana. Guess he's feeling better.

Oh, and I have banned apple juice and we now brush 3 times a day....and I mean EVERYONE!!!! Dh isn't thrilled but role models are necessary right now.

I'm so glad that it went well! Four hours is a long time, though. I know what you mean about the cost of crowns. I had one put in a few months ago and I thought I would pass out when I saw the bill! It's ridiculous how much dental work costs! That's great news that Cian is eating already. I hope his recovery continues to go well.

Well, if they are ever casting for a remake of that James Bond movie with the metal-mouthed villian, Cian will be way ahead of the game.

There is a lot to be said for getting it done in one shot. At least it's over now and

Poor guy, I'm glad its done and finished! Nicholas had to have like a baby root canal, a couple of crowns, a tooth pulled with a spacer attached and quite a few cavaties done.

Going in, putting him out and getting it all done at once was the best decision we could of ever made with him.

Give that boy a kiss on the top of his head for me please :)

Holy Crapola, Dee! What a BUMMER!!!

I experienced something similar (7.5 hours in the chair, 12 root canals, 8 crowns) but I was a flippin' adult at the time!!! Okay, I obviously get the idea of doing it all at once, but man o' man, poor little guy. Give him an extra bowl of Cheerios and bananas from his Auntie Mimi, okay? (Actually, I've been eating that same combination most of the week! yummy stuff)

While I hope the extra brushing helps, don't get your hopes up too high. Some of us are just predisposed to dental issues. It stinks, but it's true! Luckily my kids have gotten their father's teeth.
