alright so just as suddenly as the sleep issues came on out of nowhere with my daughter now she seems to have developed a fear of the bathtub! this girl loves bathtime i mean loves it would even request two baths a day occasionally and can stay in there till the water is cold just happily playing.. 2 days ago, i casually asked hey wanna get a bath & play. she kinda anxiously yelled no. the first time ive ever gottin a response like that . usually she would have said yes and taken off running for the bathrm. but i let it go.. then yesterday again i ask the same question, this time she starts crying and screaming no bathtub ! my heart sank ! i let it go and didnt force her, but by night time with my husbands help, we said again "hey lets go get a bath we can have bubbles" well first she screamed "no bubbles" so we said ok no bubbles come on lets get it.. it took both of us to get her clothes off and get her into the tub. again this is something weve never ever delt with . we washed her as fast as we could because she began to gag and screamed the whole time "all done bathtub"
first her great nighttime routine of daddy singing songs and her signing i love you is gone, now her joy of splashing in the tub has turned to fear! what the hell is going on ??
sorry im just stressed thanks to anyone who made it to the end!

Oh Amy.
Amy,
I don't want to scare you, but these fears could be indicitave of a regression. They could also be indicitave of a progression, but I do think you need to seek professional help to sort this all out -just in case.
Again, I ask you to think back an see if anything changed in the days or weeks before the first incident? Did she have any shots or new medications? was there a change in diet or people in her life?
Please contact her pediatrician and start the process for extra help. You can request a 'consultation' visit - with no kids present to discuss your concerns.
