ALERT program?

I can't remember if I asked this question before or not.....has anyone (or anyone's schools) used the ALERT program before? I have seen it in other's posts so I looked up the Website.....it sounds like it might help my son. He has a real problem with self regulation at school - he rarely gets to full-blown meltdown mode at home.....I am getting pretty good at redirecting and avoiding meltdowns with him.

Any BTDT comments?

TIA,
Christie

Our OT has highly recommended this for DS. For the summer we are stopping individual therapy and beginning the ALERT program. DS has never had a meltdown in public but saves them for us at home. OT and a sensory diet has helped immensely--I think there were more sensory issues than anyone realized... His OT is through Easter Seals and that is who will be running the program. I really don't get what exactly it is though. Heather

Thanks Heather......you made me remember that I was suppose to contact someone from Easter Seals......I wonder if there is any programs out there to improve MY memory...LOL!

To find out more about ALERT just google it......the website might even be something like alertprogram dot com.....I don't remember.

Thanks again,
Christie
