Alright, my 2.5 year old has SPD and I posted a concern on there yesterday, she has lost weight and hasn't been sleeping, ( she is full time on babyfood) her doctor wanted to see her, she watched my daughter who was very over stimulated :/ she was throwing herself not making eye contact, tapping and rubbing :/ by the end she asked " has anyone ever told you she seems to have autistic tendencies?" I said " I have felt she has autisum but no one else does!" she said that once she turns three to not be surprised if she is dignosed. I guess I'm upset because I want to know what is going on?
She gets o.t she is in the process of speech for feeding issues. Yet I'm still the only one who KNOWS it's more then SPD, except for this doctor! I just want to be able to explain why she does what she does! She's going to a new daycare this Monday, I want her teachers to understand her! Her last daycare experience led to migraine headaches and anxiety attacks!

My answer to you is to find another doctor.

{{{BIG HUG}}}

The higher functioning the child is on the spectrum, the later you tend to get the diagnosis unless you have a clinician who is very astute and bold about it.
