I'm full of them today....
My daughter's newest habit that's driving me a bit bananas is exaggerating intonation. So, where the average person would put a little lilt in their voice at the end of a question my daughter will reach a glass shattering tone, and when she wants to emphasize something by lowering her voice she sounds like a frog. Add in some really exaggerated facial expressions and she often seems like a walking, talking cariacture of the other children. Anyone have a child that does this?
Oh...and she's starting to sound really formal sometimes. She answers every question in long, drawn out sentences when she's in a certain mood..."Would you like some applesauce?" "No mama. I don't want to eat any applesauce right now." "Kivrin, come downstairs please." "All right mama. I am coming downstairs now." All in a rythmic, almost sing song way.
Mary
