OK, This is meeting #3 since Thanksgiving in relation to Liam's current placement. Just call me the squeaky wheel, lol. I rattled the teams cage, and then I severely rattled the county's cage. All in, we had the director of the center Liam started at, the diagnosing psych, Liam's self contained teacher, the OT and a spec ed facilitator from thecounty (the center is a state program, and not necessarily a district one). After an hour of wrangling I believe now Liam doesn't have dysgraphia, but he is sliding with sight words and can't retain spelling. All while he is doing more phonetic work and decoding.

As to placement for next year, they know dh and I are serious about getting Liam's official home school to find and create a placement that is FAPE for next year. Inorder to get there Liam will continue in inclusion math and art and we will add resource pull out with other LD kids, but they are also in reg ed population. So he'll get access to his peers but in a small setting with a spec ed resource specialist (who is a guy.....Liam will LOVE that). We will meet in early April to see how he's doing. The ultimate goal is to raise bar just enough so he doesn't melt down but will transcend his anxiety and be ready to move to his new placeement in the Fall. Well that's my hope anyway. Man, it would be AWESOME to have all of my kids at the same school, and their home school at that. Prayers and voodoo dolls out ladies!!!!

oh, I'm praying for you on this one! that would be wonderful, and being in his home school might cut down on the bus messes.

funny, Weston really loves guy teachers-- his resource specialist asked him one day why he hated women? Weston looked at her and did his weird fake laugh, but he doesn't know why he doesn't melt for male teachers and does for female ones (not all but the ones he has trouble w/ are always female). Anyway, his resource teacher is the placement chair-- she's going to hand pick his teachers next year and overload his schedule w/ good male teachers who will keep a good handle on their classrooms and still be flexible enough to handle him.
