Annoying helpful people?

Do you all have the issue of people (especially family members) trying to be helpful? When all they really do is annoy you.
Like this morning, my mother and I were on our way to go shopping, and she was telling all the adorable things Henry did at her house the other evening. He worked on a sudoku puzzle she couldn't solve; he played (and LOVED) a repeating parrot toy she had gotten at the toy store that day for my nephew. Then she said something about how he got so animated and excited; and how he seems to be getting better at all the "stuff".
Then she acted like I was nuts for having an appointment for him at the therapist tomorrow. I asked her to babysit Mark.
What I wanted to say--"Oh, great! He played with a REPEATING toy and worked on a number puzzle. He's cured. Let me go cancel that appointment."

OMG! I sooooo remember the GOLDEN CROCK awards! That was one of the funniest things I've ever experienced online, Paula~

Paula, I LIVE in Florida and have not taken Eric to "swim with the dolphins." LOL! But yes, it has been suggested by well-meaning out-of-state relatives.
BTW, do not move to Florida. It has some of the worst public services, education and otherwise, in the country for individuals in disabilities.
Of course, my MIL who lives here would never suggest we visit the dolphins bc Eric is a genius. "He's just like Einstein who didn't talk until age 4 because he didn't have anything to say." If I had a dime for every time I've heard that, we could actually pay for ST and OT!
