We're just in the beginning stages f diagnosis and I'm wondering how you and your child's medical team members have dealt with your child's fristration, anxiety attacks, or aggression.

bumping this up so it doesn't get lost

My DS is very anxious and used to have frequent rages. He still occasionally acts out in inappropriate ways which the school has been treating with their usual disciplinary methods. We've chosen to use medication for the anxiety and rages, which has helped some. The anxiety is still an issue, so we're trying new meds soon.

I"m not certain if that helps you at all, but that's what we're doing for now. Just talking about appropriate outlets for his anger, consequences for when he loses control, and medications to help moderate his moods.

We have had problems with our son's anxiety and frustration levels, but this school year is the first where he has gotten physically aggressive with other children, leading to several suspensions.
