Any arm flapping?????

Just wondering if arm flapping is a Aspergers trait or more of a autsim thing? I know in full-autsim they do---but what about AS?
My son's not dx with AS--but this week he started this arm flapping stuff when he's excited. What's the whole issue behind the arm flapping?

My 9 year old AS ds was an arm flapper and rocker. Everytime he got angry (over something that didn't go according to his plan of how it should be) or over stimulated (any social situation) the arms flapping and the rocking would start. Both "issues" almost went away when he started with the Luvox and Strattera. I think both things had to do with anxiety and both of those meds quell alot of their anxiety.
