I'm having SUCH a hard time trying to find time for "me". I know my health is important but I feel there is SO much other stuff to do when I could be doing stuff to help my health. I'm about 55lbs overweight and so out of shape...having therapy 4x a week with Jacob can really tire someone out! I feel that any time I get to myself I just want to lay on the couch and veg! But tonight I got this urge to walk on the treadmil and I did for 1/2 hour and it felt SO good! I'm going to try and get up early and do it everyday before everyone else gets up..that way I might have more energy during the day...I'm also doing Weight Watchers. I've done it before after my 1st dd and lost 67 lbs and then 4 months later I got prego with my twins and it was downhill from there...
Just curious if there is a "ww" buddy out there!
Thanks!
Keri

hi keri! i'm not doing WW, but i'm doing my own weight and exercise program of sorts. for me, it's the first time i've been inspired to lose weight in over 5 years. so, if you want to try to work together online to inspire each other why don't you email me. another mom on the board and i are doing the self magazine exercise challenge which is fun too. and i have a whole lot more weight to lose then you do!!

That's me! ;-) I think it's a GREAT idea to be exercise buddies. I also get up every morning to exercise before the kids wake up -- in fact I just finished exercising right now, and I have to go take a shower in just a minute... Exercise time is definitely "me" time -- it's how I take care of myself.
I don't do Weight Watchers but I think it's a really great program, one that can really help you remake your diet if you stick to it. Weight Watchers partners with Cooking Light magazine, and if you like to cook, I really recommend getting a subscription to Cooking Light. I make pretty much all my meals from that magazine -- it has amazingly tasty recipes!

Me too, me too.
Actually, Val recently invited me to the self weight buddies thing but I will gladly do this with you girls online too.
I started losing about 1 1/2 years ago. I dropped 30lbs my first year but have been stuck at this last 20 forever. I don't do a diet perse, but I have done weight watchers. I eat organic and watch carefully what I eat. When I am motivated I count calories and I also exercise.
When I am really motivated I can do it but it has been hard to stay motivated. Autism stress gets me everytime and suddenly that evening glass of wine or a few pieces of extra cheese sound great and the treadmill sounds not fun. Not enough to make me gain, but enough to keep me from losing. At least I have been able to maintain the 30lb loss for a year so that is good.
I would love to have some online buddies to help motivate me. Right now food is sounding really good and I need some motivation to keep from raiding the fridge!
