And for those that WERE there and happy danced with me - thank you :)

Only the ladies here truely understand what a relief this was (well, Part B anyway).

Both of these were cause for my funk -

Part A - my fiance' was supposed to deploy to S. Cali (today). He was told last week that they might be rescinding his orders for medical reasons. The added stressor was that his position at his Armory ended 1/26 (last Friday) because they assumed he'd be in Cali. SO - it was Cali or Jobless. Up until 4PM Saturday we did not know if he was staying here or going there. Long story short, he caught a bus to the airport at 1 AM today and should be landing in Cali shortly :) Additional stressor is that MY new job is up in the air and could end anytime - so we were counting on his AD pay for me to survive while I job hunt yet again. *WHEW*

And in bigger news

Part B - I got a letter from the DIRECTOR of the county Intermediate School District (ISD) Saturday stating that he had been in touch with the Superintendant of Josh's school district and that they both agreed that Josh's evals should and will take place ASAP - NOT after the SAT meeting mid-February. My permission forms and such should be in my mailbox when I get home. I spoke with the psych for the ISD that will be evaluating Josh, and he asked "What are we looking for exactly?" Rattled off a few concerns as I heard paper rustling in the background, and then he said "What is this about handwriting OT?" So I explained THAT drama and he said "OK - I'll add the OT eval to the permission form and tell our OT to make room in her schedule for Josh's testing." He closed the conversation by saying "The testing won't happen overnight, but it WILL be done within 30 days.

Between the two - I am completely de-funked and back to loving life :) Short a fiance' for 11 weeks, but it's only 11 weeks. He's doing what he loves and I won't complain. My best friend's hubby was deployed to Afghanistan for 17 months - THAT is a long time comparably.
