Good GOD! I know first hand that recruiters can be very underhanded and that they lie, but this is just plain BAD!

As the mommy of an Aspie *and* the wife of a soldier, I can't imagine an autistic individual in the service. No way.

Dealing with Drill Sergents during basic training and advanced training, the noise of firing a weapon, the fact that there is no routine...ever.

That poor young man. Thinking that the recruiters were his friends, how disgusting.

I so hope that he is let out of his contract.

It is highly doubtful that he would finish basic training, more than likely, he'd collapse under the mental and emotional pressures, but if he goes that far, the experience will more than likely do some massive damage to his psyche.

UG! Recruiters can be so deplorable!

This totally speaks to some of my biggest fears. I am so scared of Mike having some interaction with government folks be it military or police, that will just get him into trouble for not comprehending what went on.

Scary!

Unbelievable.

I read an article about army recruitment in Vanity Fair, but this is just scary. Thank goodness his parents spoke out and took action.
