Following up on my previous thread - in case you missed it.

Received the following email late yesterday afternoon.
ALSO I FORGOT TO TELL YOU I CONTACTED THE COUNSELOR
TODAY AND ASKED ABOUT OT SERVICE. SHE SAID SHE WOULD
TAKE CARE OF THAT AND THAT SOMEONE WOULD COME ONCE A
WEEK TO GIVE HIM SOME HELP. BS
Meeting with the principal set for Monday - going to see if we can get the wheels rolling towards an IEP.
Honestly though - I'm thankful I transitioned him in NOW (5th grade) instead of waiting until the transition would automatically happen. The school he WAS attending only goes K-8 with one class per grade, 10:1 student/staff ratio. So he'd be dumped from that into High School - which I know would have been disastrous!

Teri,
Thanks for the update.
I didn't miss the last thread. I read it with interest, but didn't feel there was much I could add.
I agree on the school transition thing. Also I think an IEP would be a good thing to prevent further mishaps like the Blue Slip Incident.
