Are you member of an autism society in your area? I just joined one and it has been so rewarding. Gabe also has a buddy that is autistic too...and they play together often. Of course they have their autism meltdowns....BUT B's mom doesn't care when Gabe flips out...and I don't care when B loses his cool. She doesn't judge me and I don't judge her. And Gabe and B love to play together. Gabe can pretend about Mario...and B can play right along pretending they are in a movie. It's great to see two auties...pretending together.
I wish there was an easy answer....society can be cruel to people that don't "fit" the typical mold. I'm sending you some more hugs....and prayers. I hope your son had a good day at school.
