....I wanted to thank you all again for all of your input!
Jack's IEP went very well. They were more than willing to tweek the wording in my favor and added all the accommodations and supports that I recommended :o)
His teacher went on and on about what a great, smart kiddo he is and how he just needs a few more supports with his social skills and social language. I totally agree.
When I asked, they put OT services back on as a consultant due to the fact that I stated he still needs support in learning how to regulate himself when he gets overwhelmed. He is also slated to start mainstreaming as soon as "parents and/or teacher" find it appropriate (we discussed october in order to get him used to the classroom routine, blah blah....
I'm happy ....and even happier that it's all over :o) (unless I HATE his new classroom and reconvene the IEP to change it LOL) But honestly that classroom sounds like the answer to our prayers.
(Sometimes I forget to push for what is realistically best for Jack instead of what I just think is best...you know what I mean??)
***Oh and off topic, that article about thymerisol and NDs going down made me want to puke@!! I think about him getting his shots AND flu shots and I can't help but feel guilty....I know there are genetics at play too, but isn't it my job to feel guilty as a mother (and a catholic??) LOL!!
Thanks again, ladies, you are the best!!

That is great! Glad to hear it went really well. Hope it continues too go well with the school.
Renee
I am so glad that the IEP went well. Now one burden off your shoulders, move down the list. I am very happy for both of you.
