Guys,
I just got back from the hospital for the second time this week. Hopefully, I can stay out this time.
I am posting this because I know several of you have kids on Trileptal:
I was taking Trileptal to control seizures, and I had the rare side effect in that it caused my blood sodium levels to go dangerously low. Apparently, this is more common in menstruating women, or those who have a tendency to retain water for any reason.
The symptoms were a numb face, and a feeling of unwellness and feeling like I was going to pass out.

Paula,
Hope good things start to happen to you. Lately if it's bad news it seems to find you.

Glad you are home. You take good care of yourself now. No more of those thingie's.
Thanks for the heads up on the trileptal. Gonna keep an eye on that one. So far only double vision has been an issue.

Wow! What a load of yuckiness to be going through. From a completely selfish standpoint, I'm glad I found out after the fact. It would've been h*ll worrying about you all the way out here in the Midwest!
Get some rest, please...and let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
Amy
Hi Paula,
I am so sorry to hear of all that and am lighting you more candles, which I have already been doing for you for awhile now.
Big (((((HUGS))))) and to your family, too. How are them kids?
xoxoxo,
Sara
(((( PAULA))))))
I had no idea!! I was wondering where you were!
How are you doing now? Did they give you another med to try?
It must have been real scary for dh and the kids. Hope they are doing well too. Just wanted to send some hugs your way, and hope you are doing better.

Yikes, Paula, that doesn't sound fun.
Oh, Paula, I am sorry to hear what happened.
Take care of yourself and I hope they figure out the right med combo this time.
Sending hugs,
Katherine
