Behaviorists need to be boiled in oil!!!

Excuse the ramblings and spelling errors in advance, I am raging here and I have to vent it out of me somewhere; I have already7 burst into tears once.

It sounds like this program is geared more towards ED than it is toward ASD kids. I don't think they took his disability into account when setting up this behavior plan.
I would call an IEP asap and discuss it. I would also make a HUGE stink over the field trip and the fact that they need to reimburse you. PLUS I would make a HUGE MONSTER STINK that they are doing this to a 1st grade who is just now starting the program and hasn't even had the chance to adjust and already they are setting him up for failure.
Go get'em you ornery irish preggo! You know you can!

UG, it's reasons like these that so many people homeschool. A similar thing hapened when I was in school and when my mom said she'd keep me home that day, they said that I would be counted absent. I couldn't go on the fielt trip, but I couldn't stay home either. All the kids (elementry through highschool who didn't get to go on the field trips were required to stay in one large classroom and watch movies and color and stuff. It was really aweful, I would have much rather had a day of normal school.
My mom didn't want me riding on the bus because of various reasons, and they wouldn't let her drive me to the field trips, so I rarely got to go (once in a while they took the school vans and then I could go.)

Go get 'em girl!
I totally agree with what Renee said.
Maybe Paula can send "the lads" around to knock a few heads!

It is an ED class but they know he is red flagged for asd.
Big hugs for you both.

I agree with the rest. Call and IEP meeting right now. And make a stinkthat one size does not fit all kids esp not yours. If need be get an advocate in to go with you. You might also look more into the pratices of this school.
I have been reading about some behavorist schools i think the one in the paper recently was up in Ma. Where they uses Electroschock therapy to get kids to behave. It is causing majorprob;lems here in NY because it was a child from here who was getting it. Not to scare you but still
I think that 1} getting 90% on a test as a condition for a child to go on a field trip is totally agaisnt that child's rights and totally not fair. granted if the kid fails badly even then I would say talk to parents before making that decision. I admit if child behaving abusivly, badly etc then this privieldge may be on the table
Personal rules in my house: As long as you show the effort then you lose nothing. As long as i can see you tried. If you are failing because you are rushing, sloppy totally not paying attention, then things you like might be lost.
But I would get the CD player in as part of the IEP, talk about possibly lowering the bar for grades right now. If they can not understand what Asperger's means then maybe they might have to help you find another school.
good luck

Actually its a score based on behavior.
