Books about ASD for kids or class?

Hi Everyone,
Does anyone have any suggestions of good kids books, especially for the K to primary years, on ASD or understanding kids that think/do things differently?

I LOVE "Finding Ben". I cried at the end, to you are warned. I think what killed me was 2 things. First this guy is my age and there was no diagnosis then of AS and all that mom went through trying to get answers when there weren't any. And the difference between then and now in one generation just with the knowledge of what AS is. Oh, and the mom's honesty.
As for kids books in young grades. Wish I could help. Heard of some but haven't seen any that knock my socks off. Haven't read most of the ones for the little ones either. There are a couple new ones out. Some are available at libraries so I would check them out first.
The only one I have really read was "aspergers, huh" and I wasn't terribly impressed. There were some things in there that matched my kids but lots that didn't. A good attempt though.
You may want to see if there are autism specialists or similar folks in district that can do a disabiliity awareness lesson with the kids. In our school they do a program called "understanding friends" in my kids classes (or did). It is by the people at TEACCH. There is also a program called "the 6th sense" that is good too. These are lessons to teach typical kids about kids with special needs and to help accept them. They are quite good.

Thanks Renee,
Good idea about the education outreach programs.
