I work in an office with close quarters and with a boss who I think has aspbergers. She has a few signs of it-- doesn't pick up on social cues, seems to be lost in her thoughts while walking out of the office. The thing that bothers most of us who sit around her is loud noises she makes. She brings up phlegm, burps loudly, hacks, coughs.. some people refer to the sounds as "hairballs."

One of the things that is not uncommon with Aspergers is to have Tourette's Syndrome as a comorbidity.

I wanted to add that you might get some good ideas on the Dealing With Difficult People message board, here is the link: http://forums.ivillage.com/t5/Dealing-With-Difficult-People/ct-p/iv-cadifficult.

Do you have a human resources department? If so, I would probably bring it up to them. It's always a touchy situation when it comes to matters like this in an office, good luck!
