There are these 2 boys in Cait's band class who are jerks for lack of a better word. They have been bullying Cait on and off all year. A bit ago they hid Cait's clarinet and then told her she would have to pay them $10 to get it back. One told her where it was and then bugged her for weeks for the $10. She finally told me after a couple weeks and I told the teachers, etc.

The band teacher "talked" to the kids and it ended for a little while. A week or 2 ago Cait starts telling me they are bugging her again. Little things this time.

Well the kicker is yesterday and someone is going to die. They hid her clarinet again. Cait was searching for it and in the process missed her bus home. The bus won't wait even though it is the special ed bus. I had to go pick her up from school and in the process got caught in the school traffic and missed my respite worker. Had to get my mom to come watch the kids so I could get to class.

So now we have a missing $800 instrument, I was late for class and those 2 little creeps are going to NOT mess with my girl anymore. I am going in today and speaking to the principal and those boys. I am finding the instrument myself and they will be lucky if I don't get thier mom's phone numbers my self.

Renee,

GGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Want my husband's Brooklyn posse to join the Lads and go after them? OOOooo, I'm pretty riled for you all, too. Malcolm's camp 2 years ago, the little sh*ts were hiding his baseball cap when it was time to go out in the hot sun, and he has severe sensory issues about sun in the eyes, and how fun to watch him cry and fall apart. And they were all just turning 8 at the time.

GGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Well, Cait's darn orthodontist appointment ran over by 45 minutes this morning so I was late dropping her at school so I didn't get to go in and deal with the matter. I have emailed the teacher about it and will see how he responds.

Cait did tell me this morning that the boys have been nice to her lately so I am waiting to see where they find the instrument before pointing fingers just yet. However, I did mention in my email that this was a concern of mine that they had hidden it again.

I am still miffed because I was late for class and missed the respite worker due to this whole fiasco.

GRRRRRRRR, is right!

I hope you do get a chance to sit down with the principal and those two boys, and explain to them all the trouble their little prank caused you and Cait.

Renee,

Your entire district seems to be going to pot recently.

I would kick up a huge stink regarding the security of student's property,

ROAR is right! My son gets bullied, and I go to the principle. Whats harder is when he gets bullied in the neighborhood by older kids.

My son has been punched in the head, he came home with a really red ear. He was at a birthday party of all things down the street at another friends house. (It was only a joke mind you, this said from the mom, I'm being sarcastic here.), but I dealt with that one. And luckily it stopped. This older kid has been known to be a trouble maker. The birthday party btw was at another kids house, as I would of not allowed him to go to this kids house.

Then there was the incident on the bus, where a group of kids told him to say "Hi" to a girl he knew from class. Well they told him to say a very bad word in spanish. It starts with a P and ends with an A, if you get my drift. (you would have to know spanish bad words to get this) Basically it means a woman who walks the streets.

He got in trouble with that, all the while the kids problably laughed and smirked....

He had other kids who sign languaged to him "Looser" and "Di.." you can see the Di.. was about the male body part....

Anyway, Its all horrible, as my child is very naive and gullible. I would raise holy hell to the principle AND the band teacher. Make him be the teacher he is supposed to be.

The thing I hate about the schools, is were supposed to pay our taxes, and send them there, but "They" can't guarantee that they won't be harmed, hurt, or bullied while they attend class. "WE" have to be the ones to protect them.

As a parent we do protect them, but we need to know their protected when we send them somewhere to learn you know? Otherwise its like sending them to a daycare, thats abusive. And we can't do that.

That has always made me mad.

Okay, vent over...

I would be RIPPING if I were you. First, I would inform the school that they had better find that instrument or they are going to pay to replace it. Secondly, I would have a very long talk with the principal and use the word "bully" repeatedly. School districts are now legally responsible for addressing any harassment issues or they can be sued. They might need to be reminded of this. When my son was being picked on by two boys in his class last year, I only had to drop that word once and the school addressed the situation immediately. The band teacher needs to monitor what's going on better. Good luck.
