I like a direct approach. If I minded being approached about it I wouldn't have it on my car.
Something like "I like your bumper sticker", "I noticed your bumper sticker", "I have a child with autism and I noticed your sticker" etc.
I met my best friend through a sticker she had on her car btw. I approached her about it. Our sons were in kindie together but she and I usually just kind of saw each other around. I mentioned about her sticker once when she was near her car and it had broken down. My first opportunity. We got to talking and have been close ever since. THis was 6 years ago.
