Busy, rainy, yucky weekend

I thought the saying was April showers bring May flowers, not June showers bring July flowers. So we had to get shopping done this weekend because it was clothes shopping for ds that I kept putting off because he hates shopping. Unfortunately I couldn't get it done without him since he has been growing like a weed this year (he has grown 3 inches in six months) I had to make sure the clothes fit him. His school is having a big graduation ceremony for his sixth grade class tomorrow and he needed new dress pants and new dress shoes for graduation. I can't believe that I bought him size 6 1/2 mens shoes two months ago and now he is a 7 mens, his feet are growing bigger than the rest of his body. I got him size 12 pants which he will most likely be outgrown by fall but I didn't have time to get the size 14 and have them tailored. So sure enough we go shopping and it rains torrential downpours. It seems every time I have to take ds clothes shopping it rains. What should have taken a couple of hours took five hours because I kept dodging the rain and hanging out in store till the rain stopped. Yesterday wasn't as bad plus it was my birthday so I tried getting the kids to do cleaning by playing the birthday card, it worked with ds but not dd. It is still raining and suppose to rain the rest of the week.

I know. Here too. I think it's this way all over the east coast. Depressing, isn't it?!

In FL, though, we are entering "the rainy season" where it is usually nice in the am with daily thunderstorms. But this front, or whatever it is, has been dumping rain continuously on us all weekend and for the next couple of days they say.

That's why I'm here more than usual. DS is sick too and less active than normal, sleeping more.

At least the ducks are happy!

Happy Birthday, by the way.
