Amy, first (((hugs))).
Hmmmm.
Methinks this Service coordinator is one of those people who will say one thing when you are alone and something completely different when her boss is in the room, KWIM?
And the last time I checked, Noah was not a registered charity, so he has no obligation to provide the school with equipment for his or anyone else's education. (If someone had made that suggestion to me, that he use his birthday present to supplement the school's sdaptive technology pool, I tell you, -bump or no bump- I'd have dived over the table to smack her one!).
The FAPE placement issue for Claire is gonna be a long fight -and you knew that going in. I think part of the problem will be that her skills are so scattered. So on paper she probably looks a lot more high-functioning than she is. I do think you will need a lawyer or at least an advocate for this one.
You know, maybe that's what you take away from this meeting: The knowledge that you can't do all this alone right now, and that an advocate might be the way to go here. I mean you're only superhuman. Not super-superhuman.
love ya
