Car seat / booster seat

Hi, all! I have a 4-year-old boy (Kyle) who has either PDD-NOS or AS and a 2-month old (seems NT so far). My oldest is in a Britax Roundabout right now. I'd like to use that seat for my youngest (Luke) when he outgrows his Graco baby seat, which likely will be before my oldest did as my youngest eats very well unlike my oldest.
The problems: Kyle is very small for his age. He is about 29 pounds and 3 feet 3 inches. (He HATES to eat! Sigh.) And he really hates 5-point harnesses. Can I get him a regular booster seat for him anytime soon or not? I think he'd at least be happier in it - at least I hope so - and I really don't wanna have to buy another two Britax Roundabouts! I guess I could get a combo 5-point harness booster seat if I had to, but Kyle doesn't like 5-point harnesses and throws a fit most of the time when I put him in his. Are there any good booster seats that fit smaller kids well? My other son likely will be short in height too (but weigh more than my underweight son).
I am thinking my youngest son will need the Britax maybe late winter, so Kyle will have more time to grow some more.
TIA,
Michelle

Hmmmm.
I hope Teri is lurking somewhere, because this is a perfect Teri question.
The only suggestion I can come up with is to
visit my blog at www.onesickmother.com
Hi Michelle!
If you visit www.gracobaby.com, you can check out their line of booster seats. We still have Nick in his Britax Marathon, he is 3'8" and 51 pounds in a 5 point harness, but that is more to keep him in there. He has a tendency to unbuckle when he gets in a tizz about something, not caring if we are driving. Anyways, the first link I posted is a plain high back booster, rated for kids 30 lbs and up, but there isnt alot of padding around the seat.

This seat is what we have as our second seat in dh's car. You can either use the 5-pt harness or the seatbelt over 30 lbs. We use the seatbelt now. It offers a little more protection and comfort, plus cup holders! EvenFlow makes a similar seat, but we are partial to Graco's, all a preference.

I would suggest going to a Babies R Us with Kyle and having him sit in a few seats to see how they fit him. At Babies R Us, you can actually take the seats out to your car and fit them in too. Make sure the seatbelt when buckled doesnt come across his neck. Although he sounds tall enough it shouldnt! I know they also sell Graco seats at Walmart which is where we bought ours, much cheaper!! I am very anal about carseats, so I hope that helps!!
