Had a gentleman who has AS and is a Savant on. The interview is available at thier website. I have to run and don't have time to search for it but it was pretty easy to find.
My mom called me about it thinking the guy was like Mike, lol. He is more like Cait but I will give her an "A" for effort. The guy has Synethesia (crossing of senses so numbers have color, etc) and Cait does that. Plus he is more mild mannered like Miss Cait.

Thanks for posting this, Renee. It was actually really fascinating. The synesthesia is really interesting.
But the savant stuff aside, I was so impressed at how well-adjusted, relatively, this fellow seems to be. If my son could only turn out half as well I'd be so excited!

NO KIDDING!
I was like "HE'S AUTISTIC!" Whoo Hoooo. I could only tell when he started describing how he experienced the world sensory wise (noise and such).
However, even his discussion of his childhood leads me to believe he was likely quite mild on the AS range of things. I could be way wrong on that score, it was just how it sounded. He mentioned having some repetitive stuff that kids would copy and when teased he would cover his ears and count by powers of 2. But other than that he seemed a mild mannered brilliant/quirky kid.

That was interesting.
