Hi all, been a few days; things have been nutso here; normal kids/family stuff and then we had Cian's IEP yesterday, pretty cut and dry, mostly the same goals but now he'll be getting 3 hours spec ed preschool 4 days a week. The nice part is it's afternoon preschool so he still gets to sleep in, (Cian like his Momma is NOT a morning person, lol). We start after labor day. They mumbled something about seeing where he is at the IEP review in January and maby getting him to a part time private pre-K then . Dh and I quietly agreeed after the meeting, no friggin' way. He's here until next summer and then we'll look at whether he needs that extra year before kindy or not.
Then this morning the poor kid had 2 hours of pychological testing one on one with a local psych.....who is WONDERFUL. He has a son with autism and bp, so he totally gets us and our worries. He said he'll have the results next week and that Cian did really well, and worked very hard. One on one Cian always does great, it's the group environment that's tough for him.
Liam is having some behavior issues at school, but I am thinking it may be frustration with the social pace of his classmates and he is unconsciously eagar to be among the NT population. 'Course that's a double edged sword isn't it?! He does very well in art which is inclusion for him. The local (brand new) school doesn't have an autism unit yet, but everyone's hopeful it'll happen at some point. I would love for all of my kids to be at the same ES. Cian's preschool class is at our homeschool, so I think he'll be there forever (or 5th grade anyway, lol).
Now for the bus issue ....AGAIN! They will not come down a cul de sac (something about if they ding the bus etc etc they have to get everyone of and call for a new bus, so they won't risk it. So I have to go to the same f'n stop, 2-3 kids in tow FOUR times a day. Hmmmph!! Certainly puts a cramp in my errand life. Liam leaves at 7am, Cian leaves at 10:30am, Cian is back at 2:20 and Liam at 2:30 so at least I can hang out at the bus stop as there's only ten mins between them at the end of the day. But of course this all happens smack in the midle of the one and only nap Roan takes , (and no, she still doesn't sleep well past 3am...(3am-6am SUCKS in my house).
So that's our lively update. Off to practice for my Tae Kwon Do testing tonight. EEEIIIII YAH!!!!!

I soooo wish I could get chris to do karate or something like that. He starts things, and just ends it. UGH
Maybe I will try again this yr. Well see how it goes. Last yr baseball was a disaster as he quit. And hubby was even coaching... Tony said he was very respectful and cooperative while he was there, but just doesn't show that at home ( I understand it)
He quit, and we couldn't make him or his younger bro to go back...
