Yes I remember it well. It wasn't so bad when my daughter was in Kindy. We lived in a small blue collar city. Everybody seemed to get along. When we moved to the 'burbs after my son was born it was much worse.

Molly, okay strike that epu site, I just called (I had to call anyway) and found out they are only for the Central Valley area, but I picked a little for you and she gave me this site that might be able to help you better in your area.

She said you can also call her and she has a book that she could spend some time with looking up other resources for you to help.

(((((HUGS))))) School sucks, plain and simple. I want to cry for my ds almost daily, he doesn't get it socially, and the kids only make things worse. I really feel for you having a med dx, but not an educational one. Been there done that!!!! I took doc reports, an advocate, they would not bend. HOWEVER, your little one seems to have a lot of anxiety, my ds sure does, I think a lot of our ASD kiddos do. So the school did their little tests, and can you believe it, they agree!?!? So he gets all the same services he would if they classified him as an ASD, only his classification is emotionally impaired. Not perfect, but I was willing to compromise being that they gave me everything I wanted him to get. I am throwing this out as a suggestion just in case things don't work out for you, so that you know you have another avenue. Good luck, I really hope they see that he needs help and do the right thing.
