I'm sorry to vent here, but you are actually the only guys who will 'get' this apart from my IRL family who are sick of hearing it!

Euan (11, Aspergers) is very particular about clothes. He hates things are too heavy/scratchy/has labels. Coats, in particular, have to have hoods (which is fair enough because it rains a

Oh man I sure hope it was the right coat too!!! I shudder imagining that melt down.

I think the only thing you can do is to do a very strong routine with checking that list, over and over and over again until he finally gets in that habit of checking himself independently.

And girl I hear ya on the high school. Chris starts this year and already his last IEP team scared the crap outta me on how things are going to change etc. It doesn't help that they will now have a very odd Block schedule that will be hard for Chris to get and I can see it now... major anxiety on his part which of course makes me major anxious.

I hope your feeling better hon!

Gotta love SPD :( Was it the right coat? I hope it was! My SPD kids are so picky about clothes. I swear we have one of everything in every size. If I find something one of them likes and is comfortable in I bu as many in the same size as I can lol. People tend to just think I dress the kids alike!
