Color Blindness

I was wondering if any of your kids are color blind.
Kyle is color blind but only in his left eye. I find that very weird. On the color blind tests he can see the numbers when they are in the red background with both eyes. When he looks at the ones with the blue backgrounds he can't see the # with his left eye but he can with is right eye. Its so strange. He's mentioned it to the eye doctor but she didn't say anything about it. Maybe she didn't really understand what he meant. I didn't till today. He says "everything looks blue with my left eye".

My son isn't color blind, but my dad was. It didn't really affect him other than his fashion sense. He had to have my mom tell him which ties to wear with which suits. When she first met him, he was wearing 2 different kinds of plaid! Apparently color blindness is carried on the X chromosome, so I am a carrier and had a 50% chance of passing it on to my son. Fortunately both my son and my nephew (sister's son) missed out on that gene.
I've never heard of color blindness in one eye only though. I'd probably mention it again to the eye doctor. Does it bother him that everything looks blue?

Samantha,
Sravan also has some impairment when it comes to colors. The doctor said that he was not color blind, but cannot differentiate some shades of colors like deep red and majanta. He always reads the label on the marker.

Ditto, My kids aren't color blind but my dad and my brother both are. And ditto on the fashion sense. Though Mike has adopted some of his Uncle Timmy's fashion sense. Orange and Red DO NOT go together guys! Common!
Oh and DH's brother is also color blind. Hmmmmm. Wonder if this is another of those genetic family things that are common in this kind of family.
Editted due to better memory. I was think about this and I do remember color blindness being a big issue for my dad but he was pretty severely color blind. He would often miss seeing things if they were mixed with things of a similar shade. He worked surveying and construction and even seeing the red flags on a green field were a problem. I think he had to use yellow or something like that.
