I almost called it his new "obsession" but decided not to.

That is really interesting Evelyn. Mike wanted to make a oragami for his grandma for her birthday so we looked it up. I think it is going to become a budding interest as well except right now he has feverently gotten back into legos so it will be a little while.
What is really interesting is when I heard Temple Grandin speak a few weeks back she was talking about a theory she has. Some autistics think "in pictures" like her, some in words (those that are more language type) and some in patterns.
Well to represent those who think in patterns she showed an oragami as well as the pattern to make one. Thinking about it I realized that Mike would definitely fit the pattern type where as Cait was the picture type. Both visual learners/thinkers but in different ways.
So it would stand to reason that our pattern type kids would be really into building and things like Legos, etc.

LOL....save...planet...later!
So, would he totally freak out if you put a pin through the creations?
Evelyn,
I'll take the solar system over that anyday. I'm not in the least bit creative so that would be hard for me to work with.Good luck with that(LOL)
