His neurologist and the pharmacist said not to split the Intuniv. Weird. I have decided to hold off on any meds at this time. I am going to have him tested/evaluated at the Rothman Center first. :) I think he may have more than just ADHD going on (besides his autism).

My son's doctor and I spoke today and she recommended we try Intuniv (extended release Tenex) at this point. So, we will try that and see how it works. :)

I just cannot believe I came to the board today and found your post. You described my 6-year-old son to a T. He can focus on what he wants to/enjoys, etc. We tried clonidine for his ADHD and it was either too sedating or not working and last week we started Focalin XR which is making him MORE aggressive, unruly, and unmanageable. I'm glad to see you've found something that helps. I put a call in to my son's doctor so I will discuss this with her when she calls.
