You are not all alone. There are many moms out there who struggle with Autism every day.
It is not unusual to have a kid who holds it together at school and "saves it up for mom".

((((((HUGS)))))) to you.
I am generally a lurker around here, but I find it a great place to not only find information but to see that I am not alone in what I am dealing with.
Your life sounds *EXACTLY* like mine!!!
My DS is 12 yrs old now & he holds it together beautifully at school & then lets it all go as soon as he gets home. He hits me & his sister & swears like you wouldn't believe. I also have completely lost my social life & have a lot of judgemental people around who don't appear to believe in High Functioning Autism, either they are sitting in a corner rocking with no language skills, eye contact or affection or they are normal!!!!
I just wanted to let you know there is nothing wrong with your parenting, there are a lot of us in the same boat as you.
Apparently there is often some wine & chocolates being passed around here, I think you need some ;-)

Hello
I am also in PA and I agree with Tina (as in PA) that in your wrap around services....Whas does your BSC say? Is it written into his treatment plan for channeling his agressions?
You are NOT alone..........this place is my safe haven cause alot of moms just don't get "it". I also agree with getting a mobile therepist involved. What you do is consult your BSC and look at the "big picture" and add goal which will target the behaviors. You are a good mom.....you are getting him help. That's a step in the right direction.
What part of PA are you in? I'm in Pittsburgh area..........I have great resources if you are my neck of the woods.
(hugs)
Nora
I'll pass the warm chocolate chip cookies from th oven I just made :-)
