Does anyone have one of these?

I was just wandering if any of you have a Autism Dog or Service Dog for your Asperger's Child?
If you do please let me know where you got it and how you like it?
If you don't than please let me know what you think about them?
Thanks,
Mindy Mother to Nathan with Asperger's age 7

WOW what timing! LOL.
I have wanted one for a long time for my dd and honest to god less than one minute ago I just emailed the local group to get information on getting her one.
Cait is 13 and has AS and epilepsy. Here the wait is about 2 years for a dog but it is free. That is about perfect for us because I want a dog for her that can help her navigate the community independently and that will be the perfect age where she and the dog can really get to know one another, the dog can help with public transportation, new environments, etc but it will be young enough to be able to help her until she is able to manage on her own. Usually service dogs are good until they are about 8 or maybe 10 I believe before they retire and you get them when they are about 2 so 6-8 years of service.
There was a mom here who had one and she stops by on occasion (chelsea) and another mom here is currently going through the process of getting one I believe.

I have a friend who got a service dog through the North Star Foundation for her asd child.
I just emailed North Star, Thanks so much for the link. At first I thought maybe the boys would be too hf, but after reading a few articles, I am tentatively optimistic. This is exciting!!!
