with his daddy :) Dh owns his own computer services bussiness. We decided it would be a really good idea for ds to start learning some real job skills and no better place to start than with Dad. He started today. He's really excited. We'll see how he feels about it after actually working, lol. He's probably going to do just a couple hours a day a couple days a week. I think it will be really good for him. He had his first lesson before he even got to work. We were half way there and I realized he hadn't brushed his teeth. I turned around and took him back home. I explained if a customer comes into the shop and sees an employee with dirty teeth and nails (his finger nails were gross too) they'll think to themselves "if they don't take good care of themselves then I bet they won't take good care of my computer either". So he got his teeth shiny and trimmed and cleaned his own nails! When ds walked into the shop dh said "boy, don't you look spiffy". I hope they have a good time togeather.

Yay!
That is awesome. What a great way to get him started on job skills.
Last year Cait got her first summer job helping to watch our neighbors house, water their plants and take care of the kitty. Mom ended up having to do an aweful lot of job coaching but it was a good lesson in responsibility. This summer she volunteers at her hippotherapy place. I am using it as another way to learn job skills.
I love the idea of working with dad in the store. I wish DH had a job conducive to using the kids but he doesn't work most of the summer (teacher/school admin type). I will have to think of an uncle or someone to use with Mike when he is another year or 2 older. hmmmmm now you have me thinking.
