I've read about the benefits of EFA supplementation on apraxic children and I'm wondering - if it's known to help with sensory integration dysfunction or autism spectrum disorders as well? I'm also wondering how long you are supposed to supplement for and if symptoms resume once supplementation is stopped or if the progress is permenant? Thanks for the help.

EFA (essential fatty acids) supplementation is important for anyone I believe. We do not get enough EFA's in our daily diet and it really can affect the brain. There are studies done on the effectiveness of Omega 3's (EFA) with bipolar. There is lots of anecdotal evidence of it's use for autism spectrum disorders, etc.

My whole family (all 6 of us) take omega 3's. I do intend on adding more EFA's as well. We also make sure to have a diet high in this through olive oil, etc.
