He walked to school himself, and remembered his lunch card, didn't get lost, made it to all his lessons, AND walked home by himself!!!! Hurrah!!!
Of course, he lost his coat, his timetable, and has just had several meldowns because I am trying to persuade him to join the choir to meet like-minded musicians (no astronomy club, sadly, or I'd never get him out of it) and I'm trying to get him to keep his school stuff in his room. Oh and because *I* (apparently) didn't put his PE kit on the right peg.
Is there some statutory limit to how many coats a parent is reasonably expected to supply an 11 year old Aspie with? Luckily the store we bought the *last* coat had another the same style and size so that was not too traumatic. But this is going to get expensive....!
Never mind, I am just pleased he made it through the first day in one piece. He even brought home his homework and has done it and it isn't due til next week!!
Much love, a happy Kirsty

WTG Euan!
Even if it's slow, they do manage to grow up, don't they? Congrats for a moderately successful day, Euan. You must be so proud.
As for coats....check the lost and found, it may show up. Ours did after a suitable time being lost.
Our school doesn't start until the 30th, wish us luck for the first day of middle school. I'm trying to get him in for a couple of dry runs before it starts up. Nervous, but excited too.
