During our trip to the Developmental Ped last week Nathan earned another secondary Dx, Executive Functioning Disorder (Primary Aspie, other Secondary AD-HD, Anxiety)

I've never heard this Dx before, did talk to his pshyologest about it a little today, any thoughts?

Logging into ivillage now is a challenge to say the least.  I have been hearing about the Executive function disorder lately, but it is mostly associated with ADHD or so I have read.  My ds school have been telling me that his executive skills are not fully developed and I have been reading a little bit about it. Basically, it is the limitation in organizational skills, diplomacy and the like.  I think someone came up with it as a container for all those critical thinking /organizational skills type limitations that some of our children seem to have.  Lately, I’m beginning to accept that, it doesn’t matter the dx – we all know there is something wrong; I just need help in making him better.  I believe that if you see twenty experts they will come up with twenty dxs.  It can be so hard and exhausting reading through some of these things.

I've also had a lot of trouble logging in too. I had never heard of Executive Functioning either, your' probably right someone decided to come up with a term that describes critical thinking /organizational skills type limitations. I can say it really describes him. I was able to use the term at the CSE meeting to get him help in those areas which he will need next year in Middle School.
