Should I use the angry icon or just frustrated, oh I will go with the eye roll. It is all of the above.

Took Mike for his yearly eye doc appointment yesterday. Poor kid with everything else has my eye sight, which is perfectly horrible. And at this part of his development it gets progressively worse for a few years making it important to go.

We get there and he is happy the whole way, does the first test and is better than ever and then just shuts down for who knows WTF reason. Totally refuses to cooperate, talk, responds barely at all and when he does it is "shut up". Fortunately I go to ones that specialize in autistic kids so she was still great with him and understanding.

I kind of miss those times at docs when he would become non-compliant with echolalia and be really loud and out there! That was at least funny!

She is able to figure out pretty much what his new persciption is (significantly worse than last year) but it isn't perfect because she could only do about 1/2 the exam with him and none of the "which one do you see better" stuff.

Then we head back to school and he is still in a mood. We get there and his SDC teacher is out sick for the day, his aide was off doing some other work at the school and I had to find her. Well his whole day went to heck. He got a pink slip, was hitting Dave after school, etc. His night was finally better but what a day.

I am bummed though. His first day with the aide back was absolutely wonderful. The second day was mostly good with one outburst and the 3rd day was pretty horrible. I guess that just getting the aide back isn't going to fix the last month of no aide. Oh well.
