Well...hopefully I am not jinxing anything ;)but today went extremely well. I was very nervous about the "what ifs" and my student couldn't have done better. I think there were a few times that he worked hard to keep in control, but did a fabulous job...especially for the first day at a new school. I sure am hoping it continues. :)
I have to say that with having a 24 month old son that I am not sure if he's ASD or not, today helped me to see that even if that ends up to be true I can do what needs to be done. I can do this...as a mom and as a teacher. Mainly because what choice do I have right? We can never handpick everything that surrounds us (people, unforeseen circumstances, etc.) Also, because I am stronger than I think I am. :)
I really think the fact that my student has been in intervention since two has helped a lot. I am not naive enough to believe that it will be smooth sailing every day, but I am encouraged that all went well today. Hooray!! I was really proud of him.
Thanks for your advice/insight last week!!

Great Job. Each day one day at a time you can do it as a teacher and as a mom. not because you have to but because you can and you will want to (ok so we have to as well) but you will want to.
