Fish Oil recommendation

I want to try our DS on fish oil. I know I saw discussions here a long time ago about what specific omegas to look for and how much to give daily. Can someone remind me what those were? Also, what brand/type should I get? He can swallow pills but I don't think he'll be able to do those huge horse pills that fish oil tabs come in. Should I do kids' chewables or get a liquid? Any brand that kids like? I don't need any more things to fight about with him!

the chewables are pretty nasty. I don't know so much about the liquids. Trader Joe's brand is supposed to be good. we give our kids 2 pills a day for a total of 2 grams of fish oil. I think omega threes are lacking in our diet anyway, so it's a good idea.

My son takes Omega Brit, which his psychiatrist recommended. They are high in DHA and EPA

I've given my son Barlean's Omega Swirl liquid. It goes down very easy and doesn't have the fishy after taste. They have it in many flavors, his favorite is lemon zest.
