Dd went to a day camp yesterday called fizz, bubble goo camp. She had a great time. They sent home some recipes I thought I'd share since we've been talking SI a lot lately.

Goop:
In a plastic bowl mix
1/4 cup glue
1/4 cup water
5 drops red food coloring (I'd leave this out as dd is sensitive to food dye's especially red)
In a different bowl mix
1/2 teaspoon of borax powder
1/2 cup water
Slowly pour the first mixture into the second. Scrape the goop out of the water and knead it in your hands until it is dry enough to play with.

Glarch:
In a ziplock plastic bag mix
1/2 cup glue
1/4 cup liquid starch
5 drops blue food coloring
Mix with your hands. Knead themixture until smooth. If it is too sticky, add a tsp. of starch. If its too stringy add 1/2 tsp. glue.

Slurch:
In a plastic bowl mix
1/2 cup corn starch
1/4 cup water

Have fun.

The only bad thing about dd going to camp yesterday is today she's sick :( Darn those germy kids.

Oh! OH! I can I add a recipe? **waves hand wildly**

Clean Mud:

2 bars ivory soap
6 large rolls toilet paper (or 10 regular)
large plastic tub
water

Unroll toilet paper into tub, puching it down so it all fits. Fill with warm water until toilet paper is 'just covered'. Shave soap over the top and have kids mix it with their hands, making sure to get the stuff on the bottom, until mixture forms a mud-like texture.

Can be covered and kept for up to a month in cool place. Great way to get the ground in dirt off of kids. Rinse loose dirt off them ad nlet them go for it with the mud, then stick them in the bath really quick to get the soap off. Can use any bar soap you want.

OMGosh, how fun!! I've never heard of clean mud. We'll have to try that some time. Boy that's a lot of toilet paper. I can just picture the kids faces set that much TP in front of them and told them to unroll it all. I bet they'd think I'd lost if for sure this time, lol.
