A Funny Catholic-Autism Thing

So last night, my middle child comes home from CCD (Catholic education classes for children who attend public schools) with a bottle of Holy Water. Now for those of you who are either Catholic, or at least familiar with the faith, you probably know that it's kind of a big deal to get to bring this special water home.
For those who have no clue what I'm talking about, here's a brief, totally lame description. Holy Water is a sacramental, and is meant to remind us of baptism. It is considered, as the name suggests, "Holy" in the eyes of Catholics.
So tonight, I'm hanging out with a friend at Starbucks and I happen to take a call from DH. I asked what's up, and in his dry, monotone voice he states...
"Claire drank the Holy Water."
Silence...
HYSTERICAL LAUGHTER ON BOTH ENDS OF THE PHONE!
So next week Emma gets to take her empty bottle back class and explain that her autistic sister drank it all. Luckily, Emma saw the humor in the situation. Her older brother, our Aspie-who also caught the perp. in action, thought it was terribly sad. Which, to me and DH, made it even funnier!

LOLOLOLOL I was cracking up outloud and my son (who is currently being tested asked me what was so funny lol. I tried to explain it, but of course he didn't get it. I gave up. (I left out the part that you have an aspie, as I don't say anything about it, until I hear the results from the NP.)
Thanks for the laugh lol
OMG ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, does that mean Claire will be making holy pee? Well honey, we all need extra blessings sometimes and Claire is blessed both inside and out now! I have a small bottle I will send along to you.
Mike would have likely starting whacking her on the back trying to get her to spit it back up.

LOL This so reminds me of the time I moved into a brand new house and my friend HAD to bless it with holy water. She went to all four corners of the house and did her thing. (I was worried some evil spirits were going to get mad at this water and come and get us lol).
Anyway she left the rest and it sat up in our cupboard, in a bottle for 3 yrs. When we sold the house I felt so guilty throwing it down the drain ya know? But I didn't know what else to do with it lol.
ROFLMAO!
So is Claire

That is hysterical! Thank you so much for sharing! If you notice any positive side effects, you'll have to be sure to tell the DAN doc community! LOL!

Funny you should say that, Katherine. When I told my mom (who literally attends mass every day) she laughed, but then got suddenly quiet and asked, "Could it harm her?" I had a hard time not giggling as I explained to her that the water had been BLESSED not cursed! ROFLMAO
