Getting a second opinion....

My son was diagnosed with Asperger's by a child psychologist that specializes in Austism Spectrum Disorders. I debated with myself on whether or not to get a second opinion. Not that I doubt the evaluation but I just thought it was the responsible thing to do given the serious nature of the diagnosis. So, we are going to have a Developmental Pediatrician give us a second opinion. Now, here is my issue. This Dev. Ped works through the University of SOuth Florida Division of Child Development. She is requesting her psychologist on staff evaluate and IQ test him (he has not had an IQ test and she feels it is important for him to have one), she and the psychologist will evaluate his cognitive skills and she will perform a neurological exam. She wants a speeck therapist to evaluate him as well. She will take all these reports and form her diagnosis (along with our input and his previous teacher). Now my issue, the person doing the IQ testing/cognitive will be a psychology student, with a Supervising Psychologist on duty. Would this concern you? I mean I feel IQ tests are somewhat subjective to begin with and difficult to perform on young children (6 years old) not to mention all the other issues my son has with socialization.
What do you all think?
