Quintin had the SIPT and the results are that he doesn't have SID. So that's another one knocked off the list of possibilities. The OT said that while he does have regulation issues she feels those are realated to his undxed overall neurological condition. We went over his activities and ways he can regulate and we are doing well there. Most of his extra-curriculars were chosen because they somehow help his regualtion-karate has helped with focus and swimming and rollar blading make his joints feels good. I've tried to pick things that he likes but also that he can do as an adult or teen.

He no longer has issues with his body's 'place in space' and his large motor planning has gotten so much better. He now gets dizzy (when you should be dizzy)and the funny feeling in your stomach when you go over a big hill in the car. I know these do have technical terms but I can't find my Out of Sync Child book to look them up.

He still has a few fine motor issues and fine motor planning but she thinks by summer OT will be a thing of the past for us. I am thrilled that he has made the progress but sad to leave the OT. For over a year she has been one of the few people on my side who gets it. Financially woo hoo! Of course the his ST surprised me that she thinks another yera of therapy but I'm thinking happy today.
