Laugh or you would scream.
I got an email back from the asperger support teacher. (I went through her since I had to contact her about the triennial anyway). It says "Mr. S says he will need to see the grade sheet before he changes the grade"
HELLO!!!! Does a 21 sound like something a mom would LIE about?
AND On the grade sheet it specifically has a note "See Me" written by the math teacher, then under it a note written by the aide "Cait talked to Mr. S. She stated this was the best she could do"
So how does a teacher forget when a student gets a 21 vs a 71 especially when he specifically MET with her about it. My guess is that they want the grade sheet back to cover thier tushes but I made me-self a nice copy of it already.
OHHHHHH, and I talked to Cait tonight. She didn't even know what her grade was on the paper. She said she went to talk to Mr. S and he said "Is that the best you can do?" to which she answered "yes". I asked her if she said yes to get him out of her hair so she wouldn't have to talk about it. She gave me an evil grin and said "yup mom" ROFL. That's my girl. Figures. She didn't even bother to check what her grade was and they never mentioned it when discussing it with her. That was definitely a useful conversation. Helped LOADS didn't it? She has had a bunch of those with him this year and funny he hasn't gotten the idea that his little lectures haven't done a darn thing yet and she doesn't even care anymore when he does it.
Geez.

ROFLOL! what she heard was 'Cait, blah, blah, blahaha ha, blah blah, well, is that the best you can do? lah lalalala!' and she said "yes" not even knowing what the blah blah blah's and la lala's meant!
hmmm, I'm thinking you're right, he doesn't get it and doesn't even care! and she's learned to adapt to that way of 'teaching' to suit her just fine!
