It went well. They said all the right things and were very welcoming and nice. That was a relief. The teacher they assigned to Hannah is someone I was very good friends with in Middle school. Hannah also had her Mom for 1st grade. Hannah liked that she was her old teachers daughter and my old friend. After school yesterday I took Hannah to meet Mrs. G and see her room. That went really well. Mrs G gave Hannah homework so she wouldn't feel behind on Tuesday when the class checks theirs. Last yr I couldn't get Hannah to do any homework with out a big drawn out fight and sometimes no matter what she wouldn't do it. Last night she sat down all on her own, no prompting, and did her math. Math usually really frustrates her. But last night she just skipped the ones that she couldn't do, no worries, just like Mrs. G told her to do. (last yr she would have torn the paper up and then shut down) I'm just so blown away. I'm so very proud of her. I really hope this keeps up.

I'm taking Hannah school shopping today. I'm going to buy her some Monkey ear rings she's really been wanting. That's another thing I'm proud of her for. She got her ears peirced in May but she wouldn't let me take the original ones out when it was time because she was too scared and wouldn't do it herself. Well two days ago she took them out all on her own. :)

WTG Hannah! I'm glad things are going to so well so far with Hannah going back to school. After the things that happened last year I was afraid there might be a little residual fear and frustration when ya'll actually go tinto the process of meeting with teachers and stuff. So glad to hear everythings going well. Here's to hoping it continues to go that way! **raises glass**

And ((hugs)) to you, Samantha! All this must be a nerve racker for you too. How about a cherry cordial incenetive for Mom being brave too?

Keep us updated!

Samantha,

I am glad the meeting went well and that the school seem to be making a comittment to Hannah. Here's hoping they will follow through and do right by her.
